Screens - Get Started

A Screen is a built-in State that represents a full-screen view — an Activity, a full-screen Fragment, a Popup Dialog, or a modal Bottom Sheet. Only one Screen can be active at any given time. Screens are shown in the Session Replay player, giving you a named timeline of where the user navigated during a session.

Choose the integration matching your UI. Both report the same built-in Screen State.

XML Views

Register Activities, Fragments and custom lifecycle screens with Coryn.registerScreen(). Use manual scope only when no Lifecycle is available.

Compose

Register Compose screens with CorynScreenRoot, or combine Screen and State Provider registration with CorynScreenStateProviderRoot.

Screen naming guidelines

  • Use human-readable names in PascalCase: "Home", "UserSettings", "OfferDetails".
  • Names appear directly in the Session Replay player, so they should be meaningful to anyone reviewing a recording.
  • Use arguments to add context that distinguishes instances, not to encode the Screen name itself.
