Recording Lifecycle
Session Replay recording starts when you call Coryn.startRecording() (after Coryn.init()). Feature flags or configuration may prevent recording from starting.
Automatic pause and resume
Recording pauses automatically after 30 seconds if the application has no visible window — for example no Activity, Picture-in-Picture window, or other overlay. It resumes automatically when a window becomes visible again.
Stopping recording
Recording stops automatically when the application process is killed.
The app can also stop recording explicitly:
Coryn.stopRecording(reason = "User signed out")
Once recording has been stopped, it cannot be restarted unless the application is killed and started again. This avoids friction when reviewing Session Replays. Stopping does not remove data that has already been recorded. Pass null instead of a reason if no explanation is needed.
Uploads after recording stops
Stopping recording does not wait for uploads to finish. Saved recordings remain eligible for upload under the configured network policy. See Synchronisation for offline storage and multiple-process guidance.
